We strive to provide the best level of care that we can to our birds. They aren’t just a business to us, they are a lifestyle. We love what we do. From all aspects of diet, enrichment, behavior, environment, and hand-rearing you will see the effort and dedication we have for our birds. That dedication extends to the birds going into their new homes, as we ensure preparedness and education before a bird leaves our care.

DIET

We feed a diverse and well rounded diet to all of the species that we keep. We prepare fresh chop weekly for our birds, which they are served first thing every morning. We feed several different brands of dry foods including Hari, Goldenfeast, Higgins, and others. We exclusively use Hari Tropican Hand-feeding Formula and supplement fat into the formula as needed.

ENRICHMENT

We provide a vast amount of enrichment items to our birds including dietary enrichment, store bought toys, DIY enrichment and natural chewing/foraging opportunities. Enrichment is tailored towards the individual to ensure that birds are engaged and stimulated.

DISEASE TESTING

We operate a closed aviary and follow quarantine procedures as well as routinely disease test. The health of our flock is extremely important. We do both environmental testing and blood draws on individual birds. Larger babies that are available for sale will be disease tested individually and the documentation provided to the new owner.
